The Time is Now for a Grand Republican RESET: The Opportunity Republican

Now is the time for Americans of all beliefs and backgrounds to unite in support of our Republic which is now at the precipice of extinction.  75 million+ voters are furious about the last election and as many as half are ready to walk away from the Republican party, for good.

We are extremely alarmed about the far Left Democrat takeover of our country and their clear goal to permanently transform the United States into a totalitarian-socialist state.  We are even more concerned about the division within our own ranks, and the GOP’s inability to unite and stop them.   Many Republicans have failed to uphold the principles laid out in their own preamble, and those that have failed us should simply be held accountable. That’s where we come in.

At GOUSA, we are a diverse group of citizens who CHAMPION OPPORTUNITY for everyday working-class people and stand for common sense PRO-USA principles.  To us, It’s Principles over Personality and Free People over Government Control. 

We are reforming and resetting the GOP platform for the 21st Century based on our party’s founding principles of Unity, Liberty and Opportunity for All, and we will rank and vet politicians based on their strict adherence to these principles – or, work to replace them by recruiting Pro-Opportunity Republicans who will.

GOUSA has developed its own “Five Point Opportunity Rating”, a candidate scoring system that will be transparent and applied to politicians from across the political spectrum to determine who stands for the principles Opportunity – “Opportunity Candidates” – and who stands against them – “Anti-Opportunity Candidates” (AOC’s). 

We welcome citizens from all political persuasions who support a free and prosperous America to join us.  At GOUSA, we introduce the “New GOP”- the Grand Opportunity Party, the Opportunity Republican and the formation of a new Opportunity Caucus. 

OPPORTUNITY REPUBLICAN / GOP RESET PRINCIPLES and CHARTER

We Swear and Oath to Support, Adhere to and Publicly Promote these Five Core American Principles: Limited Government; Protecting Our Constitutional Liberties; Free Markets; Free People; and Opportunity for All.

We Follow the Five-Point Opportunity Star

1. Personal Opportunity. 

Representing “…Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness” & our Constitutional freedoms, every other point depends on these truths.  Without liberty, we have no freedom, no security, and no prosperity. We oppose the expansion of government, its increasing use of unconstitutional power and control, and will hold our elected officials accountable. This point sits prominently atop the five-point Opportunity Star.

2. Economic Opportunity.

Representing free market economics, domestic job growth, lower taxes, fair trade, common sense regulations, and a pro-business government agenda. We oppose unchecked power of corporate monopolies & technology oligarchs, and fraud, waste and corruption in government. We also oppose the regressive Left’s economic policies and socialist agenda – known as “dictator economics.”

3. Social Opportunity. 

Representing equal civil rights for people of all backgrounds, races, ages, religions, orientations, lifestyles and political beliefs. We oppose all forms of bigotry, identity and racial politics, and the Left’s critical race theory. We support the 2-parent nuclear family, affordable, accessible, and quality (market-driven) health care, prison reform, and assistance for veterans, the elderly, the disabled, disadvantaged youth and those most in need. The philosophy of a hand-up, not a hand-out.

4. Educational Opportunity. 

Representing the best education for our children through school choice, school vouchers, parental involvement in the classroom, teaching factual American history, US politics & civics and in schools, free speech on campus, supporting technical trade schools and economically viable degrees & career paths, and addressing high cost of tuition through college and government reforms.

5. National Opportunity. 

Representing securing our nation’s safety through U.S. military strength and readiness, space exploration, supporting our servicemen & women, our local fire & police, border security, lawful immigration, stemming border crime and drugs, protecting our elections, and supporting sensible, free market and science-based environmental solutions.  We must remain a nation of laws and enforcement.

We oppose the grave threat of a growing Leftist ideology, which openly embraces and promotes political censorship & violence, socialism, Marxism, globalism, cronyism, government corruption, unguarded borders, unsecured elections, alignment with autocratic and communist states, and authoritarian government control.

ADDITIONAL COMMITMENTS:

• Term Limits: We support, adhere to, and publicly promote state and federal elected office term limits of 12 years maximum.  If currently in office, we support and adhere a maximum of 12 additional years in office.
• Lobbying Ban: We support, adhere to, and publicly promote lobbying limits for state and federal elected office, banning corporate lobbying for a period of 10 years after leaving office.
• We oppose and publicly reject all forms of political violence, intimidation, and mob brutality.
• We support, adhere to, and publicly promote keeping 9 Justices on the US Supreme Court 
• We support, adhere to, and publicly promote keeping the 60-vote threshold Senate filibuster
• We support, adhere to, and publicly promote transparent, free, and fair elections and voter ID laws.
