An investigation by the National Pulse reveals the connections between Federal Reserve Board Vice-Chair Lael Brainard and the Chinese Government. Their investigation underscores how deeply intertwined the Washington establishment has become with the CCP.
Earlier this year the Federal Reserve System was rocked by the sudden resignations of two regional bank presidents. Eric Rosengren of the Boston Fed and Robert Kaplan of the Dallas Fed both resigned on September 27 following an inquiry into trading activities on their personal investment accounts.
Now an investigation by the National Pulse reveals connections between Kurt Campbell, the husband of Federal Reserve Board Vice-Chair Lael Brainard, and officials of the Chinese Communist Party. The National Pulse writes:
“Lael Brainard – recently nominated as Joe Biden’s Federal Reserve Vice Chairman – controversially refused to label the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) a currency manipulator during her stint in the Obama administration and is married to Kurt Campbell, who has deep ties to Beijing’s foreign influence operations and propaganda organs, The National Pulse can exclusively reveal.“
The National Pulse reports that Campbell was the keynote speaker at a major conference sponsored by Patrick Ho, a business partner of Hunter Biden. Ho was described by Hunter Biden as “the f**king spy chief of China.” Campbell also has numerous business connections with China.
Did her husband’s China connections influence her decisions in an official capacity? The National Pulse points out that Brainard was very soft on China in her previous role in the Obama Administration.
“As Treasury’s top diplomat from 2010 to 2013, Brainard oversaw eight reports that all cleared China of its well-documented practice of currency manipulation and failed to ever criticize the decision.”
Indeed, her dovish stance on China and its trade policies has been a key concern regarding her role in the U.S. government (see for instance, here and here).
At minimum the National Pulse’s revelation show how deeply intertwined the Washington establishment is with Communist China. It’s like the Opium War in reverse with China using its money and influence to corrupt American society.
